About Harrison's Hideway

Our Story

We first opened our doors in 2016, initially hoping to serve fishermen visiting Smithy’s Pond and a few locals working on the Island Carr Industrial Estate. Word quickly got out about our little cafe selling home cooked food and people started coming from further afield.

In 2017, it soon became apparent that our little 16 seat cafe wasn’t big enough to accommodate our growing number of customers, so we took the plunge and expanded it, enabling us to welcome 50 people. We also have an outdoor decking area which is especially popular in the sunny months.

Visit us

We pride ourselves on using locally sourced produce in our recipes. Newells of Brigg provide our meat and eggs, and our fresh fruit and vegetables are from Booth House Farm Shop in Winterton.

We serve a range of dishes from simple sandwiches to daily hot specials. Our traditional recipes, that often appear on our ‘specials’ menu, have been in our family for many generations but we also serve modern favourites, like our special cheesecakes and rocky roads.
We look forward to welcoming you to our cafe.
